Architect and interior designer based in Newcastle upon Tyne, working across the UK.
I’m Amy, an architect and interior designer with eight years of experience.
I believe that good design is about creating something that feels right and is unique to your project. Achieving quality and value doesn’t necessarily mean expensive materials – the most interesting ideas are often born out of constraints.
I have an accessible, personable and collaborative way of working. I take the time to understand what you are trying to create, how you want it to function, and what you want it to say about you – and I can help you figure that out if you’re unsure. I work closely with you and anyone else involved, such as the builder, engineer and planning officer, to make your project a reality.
I believe in thinking things through properly from the start – measure twice, cut once – so decisions are resolved on paper before they become expensive problems on site. It saves time, money and stress, and leads to a better result.
As a chartered architect, I can provide construction drawings and see you through planning and building control. This means that even on projects where interior design is the priority, you’re not confined by the fabric of your existing building – if you need to alter or extend, I can help you do that.
I enjoy projects where the interior plays a key part – from working with businesses to create venues and environments people love spending time in, to helping homeowners make spaces that suit their lives and feel like them. I’m always up for something a bit unusual too – small builds, one-off pieces, joinery and installations.
I would love to hear about your project. You can get in touch via the email address below. Tell me a bit about it and I will be in touch to arrange a free consultation.
